Cool cat Miles

My wife and I received a call from my mother-in-law one hot summer day, she told us that she found a little black cat in an alley way. Never owning a pet, I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to help the little guy. We decided to call him Miles.

He was black and tiny, Miles really didn't look like he was going to make it. He was completely dehydrated and fatigued from all the fleas eating him alive.

We later found out from the vet that a heart murmur meant Miles had a high possiblity of dying within the year. Luckily Miles came through like a champ and I personally couldn't imagine life without him. He is an awesome cat and tends to be one of my favorite models when I get my itch.

His eyes always say what he is thinking.

Landscape

A couple of these photos were shot with my first digital camera. It was a Canon Power Shot A40, it only had 2 megapixels. Most phones today have more megapixels then that! I must have photographed everything I saw. I thought, hey why not? With the ability to capture unlimited photos, I quickly fell in love with composing images. I am still surprised by the quality of photographs produced by Canon's little compact.

I grew up at the beach, so I really can't escape my love for water, sand, and people. Huntington Beach as well as Seal Beach were playgrounds for me and I can alway count on the beach to relax me.

This photograph was shot in a reservoir in Orange County. It immediately caught my attention because of the trees, not sure what kind of tree, but most of them had plenty of character. The reflextion from the water drew me in even further, at times spokey to tell you the truth.

I have always known that I enjoy being surrounded by nature, it just feels pure. So that's what I first started taking pictures of. My eye has always been attracted to black and white photographs so these are a few of my moments.

Cynthia and David

I came across my friend Marina Linares at Cypress College a couple of years ago who was at that time beginning her wedding portfolio. Now a couple years later I asked if she could use any help. Since then I've had the opportunity to acompany her a few times, these photographs are from one of those weddings. It was Cynthia and David's wedding day. They had a beautiful ceremony in Long Beach, which soon turned into a great night in San Pedro.
